Got a Question?

KRD has a 10-year track record of supporting client partners across the non-profit, public and private sectors.

We offer an eclectic mix of skillsets not usually found in one agency, and a commitment to work rooted in ethical relationship. Where others see scope creep, we see opportunity for learning and emergent support.

Data & Technology

More about data

Data & Technology

We build websites, back-end management systems, and databases to simplify technology and put it to use in your work.

Moving an organization to higher degrees of technological integration is not just a matter of selecting and installing software packages. It's a significant change process that requires the input and participation of the full team.

Your technology solutions and data systems have to form a snug fit with both your strategy and culture. We perform current-state analyses to ensure your new systems have a high chance of success - instead of being a cause of frustration. And we see these projects as integrated with every other aspect of your work, and stand ready to help there as well. Where others see scope creep, we see an opportunity to contribute to deeper learning and thriving at work.

We work with free, open-source software so that your limited resources can go to proper training and support instead of licensing fees.

Some solutions we harness to your use include:
  • Drupal
  • Wordpress
  • CiviCRM
  • Moodle
  • ABCD

    Evaluation & Research

    More evaluation

    Evaluation

We combine approaches from Systems Thinking and Action Research to build transformational evaluation experiences.

Today's organizations operate in a context of complexity, where adaptability is critical to success. We help you integrate intention and responsiveness in service of your mission.

Our approach is aligned with Dialogic Organizational Development - where change and strategy are seen as both component and result of intentional, facilitated dialogue. Our role is to convene your group, provide you with relevant information, and facilitate the processes of planning and implementation. Our combination of business and financial acumen, leadership coaching skills, and social economy alignment will help build the platform for your success.

    Strategy & Change Management

    More strategy

    Strategy & Change Management

We use a humanistic, inclusive approach to help organizations augment their collective capacity.

Evaluation of programs, processes, structures and outcomes has tremendous transformative potential that is often missed.

Done right, evaluation will help you tell your story, stay accountable, and, most importantly create significant, useful learning. We are practitioners of Utilization-Focused Evaluation, and put strong emphasis on preparatory and design work - getting clear on who the intended users of evaluation are, and how they might best use any new learning generated.

We start with your current state, work to build an understanding of what's possible, and then bridge the two, using a variety of tools and methodologies as appropriate:
  • Program Logic Models
  • Theory of Change
  • Outcome Harvesting
  • Outcome Mapping
  • Reflective Practice
  • Social Network Analysis

    Training & Facilitation

    More training

    Training & Facilitation

We offer online and in-person training courses in ethical leadership, evaluative thinking and effective collaboration.

We can work with your internal or partnership group, or you can attend one of our periodically offered courses. Our in-course work, whether delivered electronically or face-to-face, always relies on combining our expertise with the wisdom in the room. Our participants learn as much, if not more, from each other, as they do from us.

The courses in our "Beyond the Rhetoric" combine theory with practice - you will have homework! Our participants meet in a group context to learn from theory and each other, and work on a small project in their workplace to integrate their learning into their work.

Additionally, if you need occasional support in facilitating community or team meetings, we are able to step in and provide effective facilitation rooted in Community Development principles.
